The Patriot’s Day Weekend Triple Play Race Series has been cancelled due to unresolved logistical issues.  We regret this, and we look forward to having the event next year.

The inaugural Treasure Coast High School Kick-Off 5K Run was held Saturday, August 14th and the Overall Male and Female winners walked away with $100 gift cards in addition to the usual awards.  Masters Male/Female winner picked up Olive Garden gift cards as well as awards, and a good time was had by all!  Click on the ‘2010 Race Results’ link shown on the right-hand side of this page to see full results.

Racing Season on the Treasure Coast is getting an early start this year!  There are three races in August, and a three-race Labor Day Weekend coming up!  To get a race application, just click on the ‘Race Applications’ link on the right-hand side of this page.

Don’t miss the inaugural Treasure Coast High School Kick-Off 5K Run this Saturday morning.  The race will begin and end at the Hilton hotel in the PGA area of St. Lucie West – follow St. Lucie West Blvd out and over I-95 and you’ll see the Hilton on your left as you approach the traffic circles.  This race benefits the football program at TCHS, and it features a $100 gift card prize to the top Male and top Female finisher, as well as age group awards and t-shirts to all entrants.

Next up is the Beach To Beach 5K Run on August 20th.  Remember that this is a FRIDAY EVENING event, and that it is CRITICAL to get to the Finish Line at the Jensen Beach Public Beach parking area (at the east end of the Jensen Beach Causeway) in plenty of time to ride the buses to the Starting Line down at Stuart Beach (behind the Elliott Museum).  This is one of the largest races in the area, so don’t be late!  This is NOT the day to miss the bus !

Closing out the month is the Hobe Sound Child Care Center Stampede 5K Run/Walk, a first-time race at the HSCCC, located just north of the corner of Gomez Road and Bridge Road in Hobe Sound.  Those old-timers out there will remember the school that was the original site of the Del Hagin 15K and the old Martin County Half Marathon – well, this race is just across the street, and uses the school parking lot for race day parking.  Lots of raffle prizes, good food, age group awards, t-shirts and a nice course await you at this event!

Opening the month of September will be an unusual set of races – a three-race ‘Triple Play’ consisting of a 1-Mile Run on Saturday morning in front of the Patriot’s Day Weekend Parade being held at the PGA Learning Center on Perfect Drive out in St. Lucie West, followed by a 10-Mile Run at Digital Domain Stadium (where the Mets play) on Sunday morning, and then a 5K on the Wannamaker Golf Course at PGA on Monday morning.
A special award will be given to everyone who finishes all three races, and there’s a $50 Fleet Feet Gift Certificate to the Man and Woman who run the best three-race series, scored cross-country style (based on finishing place in each race).  Technical t-shirts and Overall/Masters/Age Group awards will also be given (Mile race will have Top 10 Finishers M/F 14 and Under and 14 and Over only) for each individual event.

Congratulations to all who ran the Hemingway Days 5K Sunset Run!  It was hot as always, and always a good time!  The raffle prizes boggle the mind, the awards are top-noch, and the party is rocking!  Click on the ‘2010 Race Results’ link shown on the right-hand side of this page to see the complete results.  Both the Age Group finishers and the Military Finishers are shown.  Military Finishers also qualified for Age Group awards, so they may appear in both sets of results.

Click on the ‘2010 Race Results’ link shown on the right-hand side of the page to see the complete results of the Downtown Dash 5K Run held Friday evening July 16th at the Martin County Administration Building.  A total of 182 runners completed the event, which was the second race in the three-race Summer Sizzler Race Series organized by the Martin County Parks and Recreation Department and hosted by the Sailfish Striders Running Club of Stuart.

The final race in the Series will be the Beach To Beach 5K Run, to be held at the Jensen Beach Public Beach located at the eastern end of the Jensen Beach Causeway (closest to the ocean).  The race will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 20th.  Don’t forget that this is a point-to-point race and the starting line is located 3 miles south of the finish.  You’ll need to ride the shuttle bus down to Stuart Beach for the start, or find your own ride down!
